introduction

Hi, it is good to meet you! My name is Muna, and I am the youngest daughter of Malvin G. Whitfield who was an Olympic athlete, a Tuskegee Airman and the Global U.S. Sports Goodwill Ambassador for five US Presidents. On November 19, 2015, Dad died in Washington D.C. Up till this day I still do not know exactly what happened. For a very long time I did not know where he was. I have been kept in the dark for a long time about his illness and his transfer from his home into a VA hospital and that has been very disheartening and disturbing.

Memories of my father

my quest

Now I am asking the public for help. This platform was created in the hopes of connecting with people that knew my Dad. He lived an incredible life and inspired many people around the world. If you have a story to tell or photos to share, I would love to hear from you. In particular, if you had any contact with Dad in his final years, I would be so thankful if you would be willing to share this with me. I would love to hear from anyone who knew my Dad even if it is just to share stories. I will treat any confidence as confidential unless you give me permission to share it. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me.

RIGHTING THE WRONG

I discovered, amongst other concerns, that Dad's final wishes for his legacy with a museum and scholarships had been largely ignored. Since then, I have been doing whatever I can to take the defendants to court, with little means to right the wrong. But in August 2021, against all odds, I successfully filed my verified complaint in the Superior Court of Washington D.C. as a pro se litigant as I was unsuccessful in finding legal representation.

I am not a lawyer nor pretending to be one, but in life, you have to stand up for yourself when you have been wronged, no matter how overwhelming the challenges are and how tall a mountain you have to climb. You have to stand up for yourself and not let them get away with it. This has been a long journey, and I am up against a well-funded elite. I would be very thankful if you could help support my cause in any way you can.

If you are willing to help on a pro bono or contingency basis, that would be wonderful. Just reach out to me through the contact form.

Many have told me that it is not easy to look up my verified complaint, defendant's response, or any other related document on the court site as it is confusing to navigate. So I made it easy and if you want to read the complaint.

GIFT CARDS

If you want to help support my quest and chip in to cover some of my legal expenses, then that would be wonderful and I would be so thankful.
